Green Team recycling at lunch is a big hit!

Just ask your student how its going. By recycling milk cartons and other lunch recyclables, they have put a big dent in the lunch garbage volume! Congratulations to the kids for participating, and thank you to Jeanne A. and Sandy H. for getting this going.

Walk-A-Thon Outcome:

Despite the difficult economic conditions, we want to thank Opstad families for donating and supporting the many programs that the PTA funds. We did not reach our goal or budgeted income for Walk-A-Thon, but thanks to reserves in the budget and our conservative budget planning last spring we will not have to cancel programs already planned for this year.

Walk-A-Thon results:

Totals: $43,491 pledged + $3350 pledged Matching funds = $46,841

 Classroom awards:

Snack party (up to $1500): Groscost PM, Reorda, Acton
Ice Cream party ($1500-$2000): Coburn, Groscost AM, Bishop, Engdahl, Cloud, O'Leary
Snack and Ice Cream party ($2000-$2500): Meyer, Bradburn, Goforth, Eddy, McHenry
Pizza and Ice Cream party ($2500 - $3000): Pastrana, Williams, Haggerty, Piper, Brun
